Professor Sheidow is also the co-chair for a current Canadian trial evaluating effective treatments for diabetic macular edema. Professor Sheidow is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a member of the Canadian Ophthalmology Society, and editor of the retina section for the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology. He has published articles in many journals, including Ophthalmology, Retina and Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology.Tom Sheidow is Associate Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Western Ontario, London, Canada. As an active member of the Canadian Retinal Trials Group, Dr Sheidow's major clinical and research interests are age-related macular degeneration, other macular diseases, and teleophthalmology and its application to patient screening and referral; he has been a participant in several of the major age-related macular degeneration and diabetes clinical trials over recent years.
